The Art of Pearl Maxner

Coloring Books

In 2011 Pearl embarked on creating a series of coloring books featuring wildlife of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The Forest embraces a treasure of botanical and biological diversity and is home to world-class wild and scenic rivers, isolated wilderness, outstanding fisheries and wildlife resources, & breathtaking landscapes of mountains, meadows, streams & lakes.

Book one featured the seventy one Mammals that inhabit the 1.8 million acre Forest.

In 2012 Pearl opened up her teaching through art to an even larger domain. This time she would depict the Marine Wildlife of the entire Oregon Coast.

Oregon Coast Color Map

The Oregon Coast stretches about 363 miles from the Columbia River in the north to the Oregon California border in the south. The beautiful, rocky coast is home to many creatures. From Bald Eagles to Puffins, Sea Lions to Otters, Whales to Sea Turtles, Starfish to Crabs, Pelicans to Blue Herons, there is something for everyone to learn about while coloring.
